Pflaumer Brothers Launches TERACURE® M-123, a High-Performance Aromatic MDI Polyisocyanate for Urethane Polymer Concrete Flooring Systems
Ewing, NJ – Pflaumer Brothers announces the introduction of TERACURE® M-123, a high-performance aromatic MDI polyisocyanate engineered for urethane polymer concrete flooring systems that demand exceptional durability, rapid return to service, and long-term performance in the harshest industrial environments.
Developed as Part B for three-component polyurethane polymer concrete systems, TERACURE® M-123 is designed to work alongside TALLICIN® E-27 to provide flooring solutions capable of withstanding heavy impact, abrasive traffic, aggressive chemicals, thermal shock, and repeated steam cleaning. The product also offers broad compatibility with polyols and amines commonly used in polyurethane, polyurea, elastomer, adhesive, and coatings formulations.
As manufacturers continue to demand flooring systems that minimize downtime while maximizing durability, TERACURE® M-123 addresses one of the industry’s greatest challenges by combining an extended working time with a fast cure schedule. This unique balance gives contractors additional time for placement, self-leveling, and deaeration while still achieving rapid return to service once the installation is complete.
“Industrial flooring systems are expected to perform under increasingly demanding conditions,” said Brian Taubler, Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development at Pflaumer Brothers. “TERACURE® M-123 gives formulators and flooring contractors a solution that delivers excellent installation characteristics without sacrificing the mechanical strength, chemical resistance, or long-term durability customers expect from urethane polymer concrete.”
Designed for demanding industrial and hygienic environments, including food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and commercial kitchens, TERACURE® M-123 withstands aggressive cleaning chemicals, hot water washdowns, and live steam while maintaining exceptional durability. Its coefficient of thermal expansion closely matches concrete, helping flooring systems maintain bond strength through repeated thermal cycling. The product also supports installation across a broad temperature range, offers one-step application of heavy-duty urethane polymer concrete systems up to one-half inch thick, and is equally well suited for primers, base coats, adhesives, sealants, molding compounds, and hybrid polyaspartic primers where excellent concrete penetration and intercoat adhesion are required.
Key Features of TERACURE® M-123 Include:
- Long working time with fast return to service
- Low viscosity for improved application
- Low odor formulation
- Outstanding resistance to impact, abrasion, aggressive chemicals, acids,
and thermal shock - Excellent self-leveling and deaeration characteristics
- One-step installation for urethane polymer concrete systems
- Can be applied in temperatures below 5°C (40°F) and up to 35°C (95°F)
- Withstands repeated steam cleaning and aggressive detergent washdowns
- Performance advantages over conventional epoxy flooring systems
TERACURE® M-123 is for industrial use only. Pflaumer recommends laboratory evaluation and field testing prior to commercial use to optimize formulation performance for specific applications. The company’s technical service team is available to assist customers with formulation development and recommended starter formulations.
